The two teams are direct rivals for the top 4 place and that makes this game very important for both sides. Aston Villa salvaged one point at Turf Moor last weekend, while Tottenham recorded the biggest win in the history of the club by trashing Wigan 9:1.Aston Villa are struggling to find consistency and that is halting their progress but it’s not easy to be consistent in the Premiership. The Villans narrowly escaped defeat at Turf Moor last weekend and in all fairness, they did little to deserve one point. The only positive from that game was that Steven Downing returned into action four weeks ahead of schedule and that will put some pressure on Ashley Young and James Milner, who had their places in the starting line-up cemented until now. Villa will start strongly since scoring the first goal in matches like these is very important and we see a good value in backing . Martin O’Neill has given Richard Dunne a couple of days off so that he could recover from the disappointing exit in the World Cup play-off but the Irishman is expected to return in time to face Tottenham. Curtis Davies is the only player certain to miss this game, while James Collins remains doubtful with a groin injury. Seeing Stuart Downing is still not ready to play from the start, we expect to see the same line-up that started the Burnley match. The visitors will have to pay special attention to Gabriel Agbonlahor, who’s been in great form this season scoring six goals and you should know .We have no doubts everybody at the club will be delighted after the outstanding win over Wigan but Harry Redknapp needs to bring his players to ground before this very important clash. Going into this match with anything but a maximum approach will backfire on Spurs and this is something the boss cannot allow to happen. Spurs fans saw plenty of positives in the Wigan match but the biggest one was five goals of red-hot Jermain Defoe, who is arguably in the form of his life. Seeing he scored 11 goals in as many Premier League games this season, we see a great value in backing .There’s no way Harry Redknapp will be looking to make any changes to the starting line-up after such an impressive performance last weekend, thus Robbie Keane is set to continue on the bench. Niko Kranjcar was impressive at left wing, constantly providing assists for his teammates and he looks like a very good option for the left hand side at the moment. Crouch and Defoe are set to continue their partnership in attack, while Lennon will start on the right wing, which means Aston Villa defence is in for a very difficult job. We are really surprised with very high odds on Spurs to score at least two goals. . This match is obviously too close to call and we will rather bet on goals. Both sides are looking to win the game and thus gain the upper hand in the top 4 race, and with the attacking potential the managers have at their disposal, we see a good value in betting on over 2.5 goals.
