Saturday night holds an excellent match in store. Juve are playing in Bergamo and two former team mates that were the pillars of the team, Ciro Ferrara and Antonio Conte will sit in opposite benches. Two young managers were the rivals for Juventus bench and in the end Ferrara got the chance, even though Conte seemed closer to the post. He lead Bari to the elite last year but didn’t stay there in Serie A. He waited for his chance and when Atalanta sacked Gregucci, Conte stepped in. After the positive run, the team lost at Sardinia last weekend. This is certainly the best invitation for the fans. Conte promises to go out of his way to surprise the former club, but over the last few years, Juve easily won at Communale in Bergamo.Bari won the first place in Serie B lead by Conte last year. They were offensive at home and away, 4-4-2 formation usually turned into the model with four strikers. But the team needs to be in perfect shape for that and Conte wasn’t working with the team from the start. That is why there is some progress in Atalanta‘s play but that is still not enough. After a naive defeat in Cagliari, the coach said that they must work hard as the season goes by. The team need points and they have the quality for the midtable, but after a poor start, the team usually loses confidence. Since Conte took over, Atalanta are unbeaten at home; they won Parma and drew with Milan and Catania.They didn’t shine but the victory is what counts and the three points are a big step towards the round of 16. Bayern’s loss favours them, so now they only need to avoid defeat against the Bavarians in the last round or win the French in Bordeaux. Juve can now turn to the championship, as they are already seven points behind Inter and the chances of winning the title are fewer than we expected. They have already wasted plenty of points at home; the season is long but Juve still don’t seem as a serious team. They are pretty unstable; they ran over Sampdoria and then allowed Napoli beat them. That doesn’t look like the team that can threaten Inter. They have a lot of injured players and the good news for the fans is that Del Piero is back, but he will probably start on the bench. Sissok, Marchisi, Iaquinta are still out and Amauri is suspended, so this time Trezeguet will definitely start the game. Over the last few years Juve have solved games already after half an hour, but we think that now they are in for a hard time. In Israel they showed that the team stabilized the back line but Atalanta can score at home.We will avoid betting on the final outcome, as the odds are low and this will probably be a tough fight without many goals. These kinds of matches are usually decided by a single goal; Juve played a similar game few weeks ago in Siena. That is when they had luck to score and this time it might not be the case.
