Blackburn produced quite a coup by eliminating Chelsea from the Carling Cup and Rovers enter this match full of confidence. Few people believed Rovers could get something from their Carling Cup tie with Chelsea but they surprised everyone and managed to qualify for the semi-finals. That will be a big boost for the team that are doing pretty well this season and it was also some very good news for boss Sam Allardyce, who is recovering from heart surgery. The boss is expected to return to the dugout for the Liverpool game and he hopes to witness another strong performance from his side. The hosts will adopt cautious approach and try to prevent Liverpool from scoring, thus we see a good value in betting on . Sam Allardyce has some selection problems since key midfielders David Dunn and Keith Andrews are struggling with injuries and they remain major injury doubts. The boss will make some changes to the team that started the Chelsea game but his line-up will depend on the fitness of aforementioned players. Rafa Benitez has minor injury problems with both Ryan Babel and Martin Kelly unlikely to feature but he could receive a major boost since Fernando Torres could return from a groin injury. We all know Liverpool are a different team with and without him and considering the Spaniard has scored no less than 10 goals in as many league games, you should really consider backing .The hosts will try to keep things tight in an attempt to stop Liverpool from scoring and they won’t be too interested in going forward. Liverpool, on the other hand, will be looking to win the game but they will play patiently and low-scoring game looks on the cards.
