Bolton suffered a big blow as they lost to relegation rivals Wolverhampton last weekend and they thus remained in the bottom three. The Trotters now play host to high-flying Manchester City, whose players are brimming with confidence after the win over Chelsea in the last round. Despite the really disappointing results Bolton are recording lately, the club management still believes Gary Megson is the right man for the job and this looks likely to cost them the Premiership survival. The Trotters are sitting two points adrift of safety after losing another relegation derby and if they fail to win either of the next two home games (City and West Ham), things will get even worse. In all fairness, the Trotters definitely look like the most likely team to go down, especially if Megson stays in charge and we see a great value in backing . The boss will have very important player Kevin Davies back from suspension, while Mustapha Riga and Danny Shittu remain injury doubts. Sean Davis and Joey O’Brien remain long-term absentees but the most important thing is there are no fresh injury worries, thus we expect Megson to field a similar side to that which started the Wolves game. The hosts are expected to line up in 4-5-1 formation with Klasnic as a lone striker, with Davies and Lee operating on the wings. It took a lot of time for Mark Hughes’ team to return to winning ways but they did it in big style. Not too many teams will manage to record back to back wins over Arsenal and Chelsea this season, thus City couldn’t have found a better way to get back where they belong. The players’ confidence is now sky-high and Gary Megson must be wishing this match was played few weeks ago. We have no doubts the Citizens will continue the good scoring form that saw them bag five against Arsenal and Chelsea, thus you should really consider backing .Craig Bellamy and Vladimir Veiss have been diagnosed with swine flu last week but they have already recovered and should be in contention for the Bolton game. Micah Richards picked up an injury against Chelsea and he remains doubtful, just like Steven Ireland, while Sylvinho is expected to start at left-back after Wayne Bridge was sidelined with injury. Buoyed by the wins over Chelsea and Arsenal, the visitors will go all guns blazing at Bolton and they shouldn’t have too many problems breaking the opposition defence. Hence, you should know .Bolton are in poor spirits after losing to Wolves and they simply don’t have the quality to match very good City side, whose players are by the way brimming with confidence after beating Arsenal and Chelsea.
