Both teams enter the London derby in high spirits and we should, therefore, see a very interesting match. After qualifying for Europa League knockout stages, Fulham produced quite a coup by hammering Manchester United 3:0, whereas Tottenham continued the good run with a 2:0 victory at Ewood Park.Fulham took great advantage of United’s problems to record one of the biggest wins in the history of the club and you certainly don’t need us telling you the players are brimming with confidence at the moment. The three points from that game helped the Cottagers climb to 9th place and let us not forget they still have a game in hand. This is already looking like a very successful season for Roy Hodgson’s team as they have already qualified for the Europa League group stages and we certainly wouldn’t be too surprised if they continue the good run against Tottenham. You should know . Captain Danny Murphy returned into action in the United game and he marked his return with the opening goal of the game. Murphy will keep his place in the starting line-up, just like all the players that started the United match, but Andy Johnson, Simon Davies, Seol Ki-Hyeon and Diomansy Kamara are still not ready to return. Tottenham have been very unpredictable this season since they usually disappoint when we expect them to do well and vice versa. We expected them to have some problems after the embarrassing defeat to Wolves but they then go out and beat City and Blackburn convincingly, so the jury is still out on them. One way or another, Spurs will have a difficult job at Craven Cottage but if anyone can break Fulham’s rock-solid defence it is them, thus backing certainly looks like the right thing to do.Harry Redknapp has received a big boost with the news of Sebastien Bassong not being called to the Cameroon squad for Africa Nations Cup, while he could receive another one since injury-plagued Ledley King is likely to be fit for the Craven Cottage game. This means that after quite a while, the boss will have options in the centre of defence with Michael Dawson on top of his game at the moment. However, Luka Modric has suffered a recurrence of his injury and is likely to miss this game, which shouldn’t be too big a problem as Niko Kranjcar has been in remarkable form lately. Fulham usually play low-scoring games but seeing the home players are buoyed after beating United, we expect them to have a lot more confidence going forward.
