This game will be played on Thursday and all eyes will be on these two teams. Inter are looking to win the second match in a row after the hard-fought victory over Catania, while Palermo won last three games, although their performance against Udinese was by no means impressive as those against Juventus and Livorno. They were very lucky to beat Udinese and the most important thing is three points are in the bag and the team are climbing the Serie A ladder. Zenga kept promising the title fight in an attempt to boost team’s morale but it seems that top 4 fight is a reality. Anyhow, more people believe it now than they did at the start of the season. The decisive match in the Champions League will be played in Kyiv in next midweek and bad news just keep coming. Sneijder misses out the Palermo game through injury and he remains a doubt for Dynamo clash. With Juve and Samp playing each other, Inter would make a giant advantage if the aforementioned teams share spoils on Wednesday. Diego Militi remains a doubt for this match but Mourinho is unlikely to take any risks before the crunch tie in the Champions League. After this game, they will play Livorno at the weekend, with Mou set to rest most of the starters in that game. Champions League is the priority and it would be a big disappointment if Neroazzurri don’t make it to the knockout stages. Ever since Palermo returned to Serie A, Inter would beat them at Meazza but these were always narrow wins. The Sicilians are obviously not coming to lose this game but they are not expected to do a lot at Meazza. Inter are still the better team but Zenga sees his chance in the fact his side have nothing to lose. In a way, the match against Genoa is much more important as they are Palermo’s direct rivals for the Champions League place. That doesn’t mean Zenga will field a second string side at Meazza but he is likely to rest some of the starters. Bovo is suspended, while Balzaretti joined Liverani on injury list. Centre-back Kjaer, who is chased by Inter, is back in the starting line-up. Miccoli and Cavani are expected to start but Zenga could change his mind right before the game.We believe Inter will win this match but we cannot guarantee they will do it by a big margin. Everything will depend on the team Zenga sends onto the pitch and hosts’ motivation will also play a big part.
