Great derby of the 14th round, many believe even a derby of the championship. Still, Juventus are trailing eight points behind the champs and it surely killed the charm of this fixture. After the embarrassment in Barcelona, Inter beat Fiorentina. You remember we announced the penalty win and it really happened. We won’t dwell on it, but had it been the other way around, we are sure that ref wouldn’t have blown it in Fiorentina’s favor. Refs are pampering them and it is so obvious, still, to be honest, this was even one of their better performances. They managed to create a lot of chances, but it was as if Etoo and Milito saved their ammo for Juventus. Guests are entering this duel stronger on the mental side, eight-pont difference is too big for this part of the season. Juventus has been a real hospital over the last two years and no one knows why it is so. Some say poor training grounds downtown, some accuse doctors of their bad work, still players keep getting injured one after another. Ferrara was afraid of the trip to Sardinia since it threatened to leave him without a classic striker and he had to field the unfit Amauri. Del Piero is still out of the form, he had a lengthy spell on the sidelines and we can all see that still. Marchisio is recovered, but he needs more time. This game comes in a very bad moment for Juventus since they will need to save their strength for Bayern too. They can’t lose at Olimpico on Tuesday because that would cost them the Champions League. As we can see it, a lot of worries, but the fans have only one – which team will Ferrara field. David Trezeguet is recovered but he will be on the bench. Diego will play behind the strikers, Amauri and Del Piero. So, Ferrara is getting back to rhomb formation, but we are yet to see if it will work against Inter. As we have already said, the big point advantage means a piece of good night sleep to them before this derby. They will try to play tough, even a point would suit their appetites because it would still keep Juventus on decent distance. Mourinho also had some problems with his squad, Balloteli came late to the practice and was sent off from the squad. we will see if Mou will take him to the game. last outing was all with insults for the lad, inter even threatened to leave the game if they happen again. Still, we are not sure those insults are those ugly racist outbursts because Balloteli’s behavior makes all the fans outsides Milan want to boo him. When it comes to the squad, Maicon is suspended although Inter appealed against that decision. Santon, Sneider and Quaresma, who had a fine performance against Fiorentina, will be  out of the squad this time. The Portuguese will not make some silly experiments with his squad now, he will go with Stankovic behind Milito and Etoo, while Motta will also be on the field from the start. Juventus’ back line had a lot of problems lately, they seem tired and slower than Inter’s. still, Inter don’t have some great results in Torino under their belts but they managed to improve it in the last couple of years. It is hard to tell, home turf is a great advantage, but the pressure is on Juve’s side. Even if they win, they will cut the advantage to five points which is still too much. They seem to be aware they don’t have great chances of grabbing the title this year. Draw might be a good solution, but due to the odds, we will still go for goals. And we have a good explanation.
