United returned to the top after beating Bolton and they are looking to inflict more misery on fierce rivals. Liverpool have been utterly disappointing this season in all the competitions entered and this is must-win game for them if they intend to stay close to the leaders. However, beating United looks highly unlikely at the moment as the team are at an all time low after losing four straight games, whereas Rafa Benitez has major injury worries, with Torres, Gerrad, Johnson, Riera, Kelly and a couple of others very doubtful for the clash. Therefore, is the right way to go.The pressure is mounting in Rafa Benitez after some very disappointing results this season and it is more than clear that the Spaniard utterly failed to bring glory to Anfield. It is obvious the Reds are just an average team when Gerrard and Torres aren’t playing and that is something the boss has to be blamed for. It really looks as though this is going to be his last game in charge, especially if his side lose and you should know .Even though we had doubts about United’s team for this season, they seem to be doing really fine at the moment, in all the competitions entered. The win over Bolton saw them return to the top of the table, while 1:0 victory over CSKA edged them closer to the knockout stages of the Champions League. If the team continue with such solid performances they have to be considered as candidates for the title in both Premier League and Champions League and you should know . This looks like the perfect time to be facing Liverpool as the Reds are in all sorts of problems, but United would be considered favourites even if Liverpool didn’t lose all those games. They have a very good team and don’t depend on one or two players, and United are expected to win this one. Liverpool’s defence is in pieces at the moment, thus the visitors are likely to extend the good scoring record, especially since Rooney, Fletcher, Evra and Giggs are all expected to recover in time to face the Reds. .Even though we usually see low-scoring games when these two teams meet, this is definitely going to be an open game. Liverpool have no choice but to go for a win and United will be ready to pounce on every mistake they make. Over 2.5 is a logical choice here.
