Two weeks ago, Tenerife failed to hold on to two-goal lead over Malaga, while in the meantime they dropped out of the Cup, after two defeats in the duels against Celta, a second-league team. Sevilla continued the winning run, after beating Villarreal at home in a match full of twists and turns. The team from the Canaries have always been great hosts, which they confirmed with three opening home wins. After Osasuna, Bilbao and Xerez yielded so Tenerife players and fans are expecting Sevilla with a lot of optimism. Still, Tenerife’s last win was recorded over a month ago, while they only drew in the last game against Malaga, in spite of the fact that they had the lead during most of the game. These two rivals haven’t met in a long time and we must mention that Tenerife have gone last seven duels without wining, having lost even six. Having in mind that Tenerife are excellent hosts, as well as that Sevilla are in great form, we should expect a completely open game, so seems tempting. Tenerife’s defense is certainly the weakest part of the team that only in the match against Athletic Bilbao managed to keep a clean sheet. This weekend at Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez stadium, they will host in-form Sevilla that can be dangerous away and here.Two weeks ago we enjoyed the real derby between Sevilla and Villarreal that ended 3:2 in favour of the hosts. Team’s best scorer Luis Fabiano opened the score with two goals and Kanoute, who recovered from injury decided the game, after coach Manolo Jimenez gave him a chance in the second half.  Luis Fabiano and Kanoute are an unstoppable attacking tandem, so these two will be the biggest threat for Tenerife’s keeper. Both of them have scored eight goals so far and they are also doing great in the Champions League and in Copa Del Rey. These two excellent players should give their best against one of the weakest defense in the league so , which seems tempting.Excellent play saw Sevilla close the gap behind the leading teams, Real and Barcelona that will face each other next weekend, so it is extremely important for Sevilla to record a positive result in this game so they can take over the top next week. Sevilla lost two games this season, both of them, away but against much better rivals, Valencia and La Coruna, so they shouldn’t have bigger problem on the Canaries. Besides, Sevilla haven’t conceded a single goal in three away games played so far and with a total of seven goals conceded their defnse is second best in the league so far. Having in mind that the action will be in front of the home side net we think that seems tempting. The only three wins Tenerife recorded so far were at home, which makes them one of the best hosts in Primera. On the other hand, Sevilla are very convincing in each game, so we don’t think they will struggle to win another game after 13 unbeaten years on this ground We will post information about results of this match, as soon as posible.. stay with us.
