Palermo are better ranked right now, but they are a better side with crazier manager. Just like every year, they are capable of beating Juventus, but also of losing to Bologna. Chairman Zamparini will have little patience for manager Zenga if he fails to beat Catania. A lot of oscillations for a team which announced Champions League fight before the start of the season. After three straight wins, they lost to Inter, then played draw with Genoa and lost to Bologna. The pressure goes up right away, Zenga’s abilities are immediately questioned and doubted even though only a couple of weeks ago he was named the next Inter manager. Still, those are all the diversities every Palermo manager has to put up with. Still, Zamparini changed 28 managers in 15 years of football. Even the late Hesus Hil would be envious of this record. Palermo repeat the same habits one year after another, they are a strong team which play very bad against minnows and that is the reason they are not moving forward. Last year, Ballardini too beat Juve and Fiorentina and then lost to teams who got eventually relegated at the end.  Catania were once again good at home and they again didn’t win. They were held to a goalless draw by Napoli and that was their third or fourth game with no result at Massimino. That is why they are rock bottom and why manager Atzori is so close to being axed. Still Elephants are without a solution, Sinisa Mihajlovic was being mentioned to take them over, but he fancies Lazio more. Nevertheless, Catania are playing well but not winning  while they are bad away as usual. All they have is one win and that is why they are one place above the last. Still, all things are somehow against this team, they opened the season with plenty of injured players and it were the irreplaceable ones too. They will enter this game without a couple of players too, but Morimoto and probably Delvecchio are coming back on. Ever since they got promoted, they have played three times at Barbera, lost twice and won last season. Still, their great rivals fell two times at Massimino and they are now on even terms with Palermo. Palermo are clearly favorites to win. It is a normal thing. They have a better team and they also have a crowded stands to support them too.  Still, it was the same case last year and Catania still defeated them.
