Tottenham recovered well from the derby defeat to beat Sunderland at White Hart Lane, and Spurs are now looking to remain in top 4 with a win over Wigan. The Latics couldn’t beat Fulham at home but they, nevertheless, remained four points clear of the bottom three.Despite some unexpected slip ups, Tottenham are still in fourth place but Aston Villa, Manchester City and Liverpool are just few steps back. In order to keep their good league position, Harry Redknapp’s side need to continue their good home run, while picking up points from the travels as well. Therefore, this is a must-win game for Spurs and we expect to see that opening pressure on the opponents that often bears fruit. With Spurs looking very convincing at home, you should seriously consider backing .Even though it was expected Luka Modric would be fit to face Wigan, the Croatian striker is still some time away from making a return from injury, but the good news is Aaron Lennon has recovered and he should start against Wigan. Robbie Keane, who is probably gutted after missing out on the World Cup with Ireland, is likely to start at left wing for the second match running, with Crouch and Defoe forming the attacking partnership. Boss Harry Redknapp was happy to see all his players return from international duty unscathed and considering the boss will have almost full squad to choose from, Tottenham are hot favourites to win the game. Roberto Martinez arrived to Wigan as one of the most talented managers in the Championship and he didn’t need a lot of time to prove he is a Premiership material. He has immediately won over the fans with his dedication to the new job and attention to every detail. It is his attractive attacking style of football that make every Wigan fan happy and we can see him staying with the Latics for a long time. We are convinced the Latics will have no problems avoiding the drop this season and Tottenham face a difficult task in this match. The visitors will have plenty of space at White Hart Lane since Tottenham will go all guns blazing at them and we can see them continuing the good scoring run. .Apart from Maynor Figueroa, the boss has no injury worries and he is likely to field the same team that started the Fulham game two weeks ago. The Latics will line-up in 4-5-1 formation with Thomas, Scharner and Diame in midfield, while lone striker Scotland is going to have big support from wingers Rodallega and N’Zogbia. Tottenham are the favourites here but they will definitely not have an easy job against very good Wigan side.
