Blackburn Rovers vs Stoke City

Blackburn remained in the middle of the table despite the 3:0 defeat at Craven Cottage and while they are under no pressure, the win over Stoke would help them keep the good league position. The Potters returned to the top part of the table with a hard-fought victory over Portsmouth and they are aiming to continue the good run of results. Blackburn were powerless to resist Fulham when these two teams met at Craven Cottage in midweek but those kinds of games are not where Rovers should search the survival points. They are doing really well so far, mostly because they are winning home games against the bottom table teams and the hosts are aiming to continue the trend against Stoke. Rovers have won last five home games in all competitions and we wouldn’t be surprised if Stoke take the fall at Ewood Park. . Assistant manager Neil McDonald again has full squad to choose from and we are unlikely to see a lot of changes to the team that started the Fulham game. Di Santo and Roberts are set to continue up front, although McCarthy and Kalinic are also hoping for a starting berth. Midfield area with players like Dunne, Grella and Andrews is definitely the strongest part of this team and they need to be at their best if Rovers are to stand any chance of winning this game. Tony Pulis has done a remarkable job with the Potters ever since they got promoted to the Premiership since Stoke are now a well established Premier League club. The team that were seen as one of the main candidates for the drop last season are now much closer to the top 4 than the bottom three and that speaks volumes about the boss. The Potters have always been pretty convincing at their Britannia Stadium but their performances on the travels have also improved and Blackburn face a very difficult job in this game. Stoke are set to adopt their trademark defensive approach and seeing just one goal was scored in the first halves of their last four away games, we see a good value in betting on . Apart from Amdy Faye, Tony Pulis will have full squad to choose from and he is set to field the same team that started the Portsmouth game. Salif Diao played almost an hour in the Portsmouth game after returning from injury and he is set to keep his place, while Liam Lawrence will have to wait for his chance on the bench. Boss Pulis has recently praised midfielder Matthew Etherington, who’s been in impressive form since arriving from West Ham in January and the boss even believes he should be called to England squad by Fabio Capello. Both sides are far away from the dangerous zone and they have no reason to rush into anything. Blackburn will be looking for a win but their strikers are misfiring at the moment, whereas the visitors would be more than happy with a goalless draw. Therefore, we recommend betting on under 2.5 goals. Live score and results will be available soon.. stay with us.
