The expected thing happened. After the initial improvement every manager shift brings, Roma are back in trouble. Still, the team is consisted of players, not some numbers and tactical schemes. Without Totti and with desperate Vucinic, without Pizzaro and with nervous midfield, this team was clearly destined to fail. They had several opportunities but the defeat came quite deservedly. Taddei’s red card is not an excuse. With a man down, they looked even better and managed to level the score, but once the number of players on the green was balanced again, they conceded the second goal. They don’t have a plan and it was obvious in games like in Palermo and Catania. Now, when luck turn its back on them, defeats are a logical consequence. Ranieri will be without Pizzaro, Totti, De Rosi, Burdisso, Rise and Tadei for Bologna game, actually without most of his first team regulars and it is clear why they are afraid of this duel. ‘we are the perfect team for Champions League’ Bologna fans joke on the fact their team won two home games in two midweek rounds, against Livorno and Siena. Every win is a good win, but had it been for a stronger team than Siena on Wednesday, they would’ve probably lost. They are traveling to Rome without pressure in a way, but they will certainly hope to use all problems Roma are in. so far, Bologna held Juve and Livorno away, giving Napoli a tough ride, this is simply a team which plays better against stronger rivals. Main reason for that is the fact they have more space and, as every small side, they look in better shape when defending. Guana is suspended, but Marco Di Vaio is coming back on. We believe this will be an uncertain game, even if Aroma had been with a full squad, we are still not sure they would win. Simply, this team will be a sixth place contender, CL stories are over the top a bit. They are without enough players and without enough quality to make anything significant. Bologna are an average tam, but we are not sure they will lose on a high margin at Olimpico. Goal’s highlights, results and more will be on site, as soon as posible.
