Last weekend Villarreal ended up losing to Gijon, thus extending their losing run to five games. On the other hand after the triumph in Barcelona, Getafe outclassed Xerez 5:1 at home and three new points saw them move up on the standings. Even though Villarreal’s main problem this season is away form, that didn’t stop them from celebrating a 2:0 win against Levski by the middle of this week. Interestingly, Getafe scored five goals in less then twenty minutes against Xerez. The team from Madrid suburbs won two straight games, which is a great boost before the rivals against who they have the worst record. Having in mind that scorers of both teams are in excellent form lately and the fact that neither of their matches ended goalless, we think that is worth a shot. Team’s best scorer, Roberto Soldado continued his excellent form, so after the hat trick against Santander he repeated the success against Xerez. Soldado was fatal for Villarreal’s defense last season so think about .Villarreal improved a lot since the start of the season and they are slowly heading up. They will face Getafe on the way and even though the tradition favours the hosts, we mustn’t forget that Villarreal are probably tired from the midweek game in Sofia and that the visitors are in good form too.
