Malaga vs Osasuna
Primera, Spain
Date: Sunday, 06 December, 2009
Stadium: Estadio La Rosaleda

Malaga made a real feat in the last round when they outnumbered managed to avoid defeat by Sevilla, thus recording a fourth straight draw. Osasuna moved to the top part of the standings, after recording a minimum away win over Zaragoza. The start of the game against Sevilla didn’t promise anything good for Malaga players and fans, as already after ten minutes on the pitch they were left without experienced scorer Albert Luque, who earned a red card. Still, Malaga managed to reach a two goal lead before the break thanks to Fernando and Duda but in the second part of the game they still couldn’t resist forceful attacks of the hosts, so they had to settle for a point. Only in the first round did Malaga manage to win (Atletico Madrid) and since then they have gone thirteen games without winning. Still, the encouraging fact for the hosts before this match is the excellent tradition in the duels against Osasuna; actually Malaga won twelve of sixteen clashes against the team from Pamplona. The big improvement was evident in the last week’s derby against Sevilla, so it would be no surprise if Malaga continued excellent tradition against Osasuna and Few days ago the Andalusian government decided to invest two million Euros in each of Andalusian football clubs, Almeria, Malaga and Sevilla as a reward sor successful promotion of the region. That will definitely be a big boost for Malaga’s finance, as they need to reinforce in the winter transfer window. Malaga have high ambitions in Copa del Rey where they will have to fight Getafe by the beginning of next year for the quarterfinal spot. Only in the first round did the hosts manage to keep a clean sheet at La Rosaleda and having in mind that only one game against Osasuna ended goalless, we think that is worth a shot. Last weekend Osasuna made up for the defeat by Valencia , having recorded a minimum away win in Zaragoza. The hero of the game was the midfielder Javad Nekounam, Iranian international whose three goals make him the second best scorer in the team. Experienced Uruguayan, Pandiani is team’s best scorer and he missed the last game through a suspension, so this weekend he is back on the pitch to pose the biggest threat for the hosts. The team from Pamplona fear no one in the league and they are a competitive team that never hold back. Having in mind that Malaga traditionally don’t suit them and the terrible margin 33-14 in head-to-head duels, you might want to think about Malaga are in a four-game unbeaten run but they have been waiting for over a month for the second league triumph. Tradition is on their side in this game. Osasuna are an unpredictable team that can surprise much stronger rivals, while they struggle against weaker teams, which is why we think it would be too much to see them record second straight away win We will post information about results of this match, as soon as posible.. stay tuned.
